Rah Bras

Rah Bras begin again with their latest album WHOHM. For the last decade the trio has been spelunking the nether regions of pop, pomp and punk on a smattering of EPs and 2001's full length Ruy Blas. Their genre defying audio promiscuity has fermented into the anvil-drop-rock of 2005's WHOHM. Heavy synths grind and squeal upon pure propulsion as lyrics wax solipsistic over the cyclical nature of all modren man's
foists and foibles. Rogue song structures and plenty of surprises around every corner, Rah Bras continue to master the art of not boring themselves by subjugating the rock idiom to their every whim. Both bizarre and strangely accessible, WHOHM achieves the rare genius of genuine creation in a realm fraught with endless reference and carbon copy replication of tired ideas.

Rah Bras have toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Japan with bands such as the Locust, Lightning Bolt, The Faint, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, The Chinese Stars and Melt Banana.

In addition to the aforementioned releases they have also contributed to multiple compilations, including the Lovitt Transmissions DVD, the mix-tape double CD on Troubleman, two compilations on Vermiform Records (Fruited Other Surfaces and False Object Sensor), the 20 Seconds Comp on Toyo Records, and US Pop Life Vol. 17 Eclectic "The Adding Machine". Not bad for a troupe of misfits whose live set has
been known to cause as much full body gyration as jaw dropping confusion.

They are currently on a thirty year hiatus and plan to begin performing live shows again in the year 2037.
